LEAD PASTORS

Chris & Bridgette Copeland

Chris Copeland and his wife, Bridgette, are natives of Louisiana, but they have been in the DFW Metroplex since 2004. Prior to founding & pastoring TLC in 2017, Chris served as the Assistant Pastor at Northgate Pentecostals. He is a graduate of The University of Louisiana-Monroe where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and he worked in Information Technology for 20 years. Bridgette has a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in literature, and in addition to her work at True Life, she teaches at Texas Christian University. Over the past several years, they have ministered in a number of capacities, including as Couples Pastors, College & Career directors, and as the Young Marrieds leaders in churches in DFW, as well as in Louisiana.

They have a passion to see people grow in their personal, professional, and spiritual lives. They want to see God’s love transform families, marriages, and relationships. Their desire is not just to share the Gospel, but to help people apply it to their everyday living in a way that reaches beyond the walls of the church and touches every aspect of their community!

our story

In October of 2015, God called Chris  to start a church in Joshua, TX. At that time, he was serving as the Assistant Pastor at Northgate Pentecostals in North Richland Hills, TX.

God confirmed this calling with many prophetic words and miraculous signs. One of those signs was the healing of a young woman who had cancer.

Rev. Brent Jones had wanted to plant a church in the Joshua, TX, area for some time but was waiting on the Lord to send a pastor for the new work. When Pastor Jones learned that God had called his Assistant Pastor Chris Copeland to Joshua, he saw the hand of God at work and was ready to move forward.

Pastor Jones did not just send Chris and Bridgette Copeland to Joshua. He also sent over 50 core people and a generous monetary gift to start the church plant.    Among that group of people were department heads, singers, and other church leaders. The sacrifice was great, but the vision was GREATER! TLC was officially launched as a church plant from Northgate Pentecostals in March of 2017.
